Pangolin, with its various appearances in myths and folk expressions, has become a familiar part of life for the people of Nantun. The artists adopt its characteristic scales as a metonymic symbol to respond to the parking area, where it locates, architecturally and spatially, while the diamond-shaped grille has a sea-through or pass-through quality, allowing it to be better integrated into the surrounding buildings and the cityscape. It welcomes visitors to sit inside the work to feel it closely, and to experience the transformative light and shadow reflected by the spatial texture with the natural passage of time.
