璀璨之書

作品說明：
作品概念來自於將「書本」再現於大眾的生活空間裡，進而點綴出充滿閱讀意象的情境氛圍。藝術家林家祺將書本推疊於書櫃上的畫面，真實創造成一本本精裝書貌的花崗岩雕塑，遠觀時宛如從地面上冒出的書本，等待路過的民眾檢索閱讀。近觀作品似書似椅的親切造型，邀請觀者以想像力自由汲取閱讀之於生活的想像意義，傳遞出知識如同珍寶的璀璨象徵。

Introduction：
The concept behind this artwork is to bring “books” back into the public living space, and the concept is realized through creating an atmosphere in the park that is full of impressions related to reading. The artist Lin Chia－Chi has used the forms of stacks of books on shelves and created real granite sculptures from them. From afar, it appears like the books are rising from the ground and waiting for people to explore. Upon closer inspection, the stacks of books are granite sculptures in the shapes of inviting benches resembling books. The objective of the artwork is through the lively presentation of books to invite the public in using their imagination when reading and to apply that into everyday life, and also to transmit the symbolic message of knowledge as precious gems.
