綠野仙蹤

作品說明：
作品「綠野仙蹤」述說著臺中西區舊地名「麻園頭」的地理歷史及自然人文的河川生態紋理圖像。彩繪浮雕作品轉化當地沿岸的台灣欒樹、小葉欖仁、艷紫荊、變葉木、杜鵑等植物，透過疊合、剪影、連續、串聯等方式重新組構元素，融合麻園頭溪過去的山水風景等意象元素，強化空間凝聚之所在，公共藝術作品將與自然、人文與陽光交織，展現臺中市特殊的城市花都意象。

Introduction：
The work, Fairy Meadows, is a topographic depiction of the river ecosystem in Mayuantou (today’s West District, Taichung) covering its geographic history, nature and culture. The colored relief sculpture transports the riverbank vegetation to a different dimension. Elements of the plants like Taiwanese rain trees, Madagascar Almonds, Hong Kong Orchid Trees, Golden Spotted Leafs and Azaleas are re－assembled, stacked, silhouetted, strung together or placed in succession. Imageries of the previous Mayuantou River landscape are also integrated to strengthen the site as a point of convergence. This public artwork interweaves nature, culture and sunshine to highlight Taichung’s characteristic image as a city of flowers.
