Studying is like trying to sail into a current on a journey when forward motion is sometimes reversed. Learning is not easy and there are no overnight successes because developing the necessary skills and research work take focus and time. Sailing against the current requires all of one’s energy and slacking off even a little bit can have negative consequences. In the pursuit of knowledge one must remain ever vigilant and industrious. This work informs the students of Cheng Kung Junior High School that in an era marked by an explosion of knowledge, new knowledge and innovation are like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.
