Based on the theme of Vivaldi’s famous movement “The Four Seasons”, this public artwork uses a creative set of multi-part approach in an attempt to incorporate the artistic imagination of the music’s rhyme into the new campus’s design. It matches the combining four seasons of blossoming flowers and trees from different regions with the color of the four buildings, creating a rich and vivid image just like “The Four Seasons”, and building a campus landscape filled with an aesthetic atmosphere of art and music. The work consists of 4 components in an attempt to combine the 4 volumes of poetry, “Sishi Dushuyue”, composed by Wing Sen, a poet of the Song and Yuan dynasties. The work is shaped like 4 musical instrument. It begins from Dongyue building at the right-side plaza of the school’s entrance, surrounding the 4 newly completed teaching buildings, and presenting the shapes of the musical instruments through the method of wall sculpturing.
