The Diabolo and Recorder are the skills actively promoted by Yang Ming Elementary School. Wheat is both the local characteristic industry and the developmental topic of the school-oriented curriculum. The rings in various sizes compose a huge diabolo style. The lower six rings from large to small symbolize that the skill is passed down from generation to generation. The upper six rings from small to large symbolize the gradual growth in the six years of learning on campus and have the meaning of carrying forward the skills. The five-line staff in the shape of a wave symbolizes the diabolo melodies. The notes of wheat look like the wheat wave in the wind of spring. The four positions of the diabolo dancers, gleaner, and recorder player symbolize the changes of four seasons of the campus. Where melodies prevail everywhere. The bright and splendid colors give forth the vigorous beauty of melodies.
